About > Your First Visit
In order to make your first visit to New Hope a pleasant
experience, we have included some tips below on what
to expect.
Dress
While some choose to dress up, most of our congregation
dresses casual. Wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable.
Praise and Worship
We start each service with praise and worship led by
a live band, with a mix of both upbeat praise songs
and more intimate worship songs. This is our time to
connect with God corporately among fellow believers.
During this time, many members sing along to the songs,
clap their hands, and lift their hands as they each
worship the Lord in their own unique way.
Offering
Each week before the sermon, ushers walk up the aisles
to collect offering and tithes, followed by a time of
prayer. As a first-time guest, please do not feel any
pressure to give. This is mainly for our regular attendees
that give as an act of worship and thanksgiving for
all the good God is doing in their lives.
The Sermon
Our pastor preaches Bible-based messages that are relevant
to our lives right now in this world. We believe the
Bible is our instruction manual for life, teaching us
how to live a holy and blessed life before the Lord.
During the sermon, there is a nursery for younger children
with attendants each morning so the parents can be free
to worship in the sanctuary.
Our church is a group of all sorts of families from
different backgrounds. As a member of our church, you
are not just a number, but an integral part of the New
Hope family. Our hope is that you will come and experience
for yourself the warmth and love that is found at New
Hope Christian Center this coming Sunday!
